My yoga practice draws from some important strands of my background. Most of my working life has been in the NHS as a nurse & I developed further by becoming a counsellor in 2006. The heart of my life & work has always involved caring for others & being involved in supporting & facilitating well-being & health, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
The demands of modern life is stressful. We are often almost wholly absorbed with what is going on in our heads & it seems like the body comes along for the ride. Yoga redresses the balance bringing a state of calm to the mind & awareness to being present in the body. I am an ordinary person who loves connecting with people & connecting them with yoga.Come & try it out. Yoga may surprise you!
In 2012 I undertook my Yoga Foundation Course with the Traditional Yoga Association led by Swami Ambikananda Saratswati & followed this with the 2 year (500 hours) Teacher Training Course in 2013.
I am fully qualified, insured & registered. My teaching aims always to meet the individual at their level of experience & ability. I attend regular training & workshops to develop my skills & extend my knowledge.
I have taken further training to teach traditional meditation, Yin yoga & mindfulness.
